The La Puerta Foundation is dedicated to preserving the historic Cary Ranch, Anza CA
The Cary ranch is the home site of Native Cahuilla Indians, Fred Clark and Art and Violet Cary. It is also the site where Spanish Explorer Juan Bautista de Anza past through in 1774 and 1775.
It is the vision of La Puerta Foundation to preserve, protect and refurbish all structures on the historic Cary Ranch, in addition, preserve and protect artifacts that relate to all the history associated with this Ranch. We need your help to make that happen. A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated.
La Puerta Foundation is home to the original buildings constructed in the early 1940s. After nearly 80 years, weather and time have taken a serious toll, and these storied structures are now rapidly deteriorating and in urgent need of restoration. We cannot let time erase the memories they hold. Historic places can’t be replaced once they are destroyed. Weathered walls and doorways enrich our community by connecting us to our shared past, so saving them means safeguarding a unique piece of living history.
We warmly invite you to join our mission by donating to our restoration fund – your support will help give these cherished buildings a second life and ensure La Puerta’s history endures for generations to come. A sincere appreciation and thanks to those that have donated in the past.
