The La Puerta Foundation started in 1999 as an effort to begin preserving the history on the Cary Ranch, Anza CA.

Mission Statement.

Preserve and protect all structures, artifacts, ranching and farming equipment on the historic Cary Ranch located in Anza, CA.

What we do.

Restore.

Many of the building on the property were built in the early 1940’s and are in dire need of restoration. It is our mission to restore these buildings so they remain standing and protecting the history inside their walls.

Protect.

Along with the buildings on the property and the history within their walls, the land is home to historic sites and archaeological discoveries. It is our mission to protect and document the artifacts found on the Cary Ranch.

Educate.

We offer educational opportunities to students and the public through exhibits of the artifacts on the property and guided tours. It is our mission to share the history of this property with all who wish to learn.
