Restoring the Barn
Refurbishing the roof with support beams, rafters and tin are complete thanks to your generous donations to La Puerta Foundation and the friends of La Puerta Foundation that gave of their time to see this to its completion.
New scaffolding proved to be a valuable addition to ladders - there were times two people had to be working in unison and the scaffolding provided a more stable working platform.
This picture was taken before the new scaffolding was on site and demonstrates some of the challenges of working on 25’ ladders.

The barn was built in the early 1940's is in dire need of restoration. This structures must be preserved for the history it holds and the educational value it contributes to the community on tours provided by the Foundation.
We are asking for your kind and generous donations before another wet winter season catches it unprepared to keep the insides dry. Please help save this structures built in early 1940's. The goal is $50,000.00 dollars raised before rains come again this fall.
